 Big Grin you can unbrick you galaxy S without jtag or jig , here is the steps:

1- Start Odin
2- Attach the USB cable to the PC (DO NOT ATTACH IT TO THE PHONE)
3- Press and hold "Volume up" and "home" buttons
4- Attach the USB cable to the phone while holding both buttons
5- The phone will enter in download mode

Install a new firmware and everything is going to be OK  Wink Wink

Here is a video that shows these steps BUT WITH DIFFERENT KEY COMBINATION

I found out that this method does not work with some devices and jig will be the only option
