I have the same problem on a 2.2 Froyo here in Canada on Bell.  I was able to demonstrate to the Bell Tech support that the login credentials and info are correct [verified via web mail login to corporate exchange server].  They have escalated to Bell Canada L2 technical support.

I just got the brand new Galaxy S G4 and I'm having the exact same problems.  The phone simply doesn't work with Microsoft Exchange Email.  It's quite frustrating.

I've talked to several customer service reps at T-mobile; in some cases my IT staff was even in on the call.  All efforts so far have been hopeless.

Help??!!

Hello All,

Although I don't have my phone connected to an exchange server now, I had my Galaxy S (froyo 2.2) connected to an Exchange 2003 Server with no issues.

Do you know what version of exchange your phone is trying to connect to?

At what point is your phone not letting you connect? Is everyone here getting the same "authentication failed" message? Also, is your phone on your company's wifi when you are trying to connect or trying to roam across your carrier's network?

When I -had- an iphone, the connect to exchange component would not work until I put the Domain name before the rest of the phone, i.e. DOMAINNAME\username

Finally, Colin and Vali, if you're not getting an "authentication failed" message you would have to make sure that on your exchange server, your account is enabled for Outlook web access (Mailbox Features Tab for Exchange 2007).

Also in the incoming settings check to see whether SSL is enabled.

Hello shelly,

My company use Microsoft Exchange 2003 from Small Business suite. I try to connect using carrier network (Orange in my case). I pass the message in witch the phone say it was no server find so I'm sure I reach the server. I try with and without domain name but doesn't work. I can use, with the same user, Outlook web access but when I use it I get a first sceen about not valid certificate

Same here, too. My company outsources its exchange stuff to msoutlookonline.net, which I think is exchange 2003 but I've always failed the authorisation no matter what combination of username and password and domain I try.

I can access things using K-9 Mail, which works okay, so I'm sure I have the config right but not being able to get it to work just from within froyo is quite frustrating.

i have updated my phone to 2.3.3 and now it's working. I don't know if it is because my company did something or the update actually worked.

originally i can't connect to the exchange 2010 using my galaxy s

i updated to 2.3.4

it works fine and connection was very easy peace of cake

i downgraded to 2.3.3 (because of arabic support at that version)

i can't connect again !! very weired problem with no fix till now

so the solution here is to upgrade to 2.3.4 and it will work fine !

I bought a galaxy s2 (version 2.3.4) a few days ago and I can't sync using the exchange wizard.  While our mail server is not exchange (it is zimbra v 6.0.13 network edition), it uses the same active sync protocol as seen in exchange 2003.

I wonder if this phone only supports activesync 12.0 or if they dropped backward compatibility with the older protocol.

This is a disappointment to say the least.  I know our mail setup works with many other droids.

At a loss here.

I was a bb user on the exchange.

I lost my device yesterday. I now have the Samsung Galaxy S II. I used to sync and back up my device with the exchange server, outlook and desktop manager.

I need to do the same with the Samsung Galaxy. I have setup the Exchange ActiveSync setup for my email but it has not been able to sync all of my contacts.

I need help ASAP!!!  Crying
