I recently tried to download Kies onto my computer (Windows XP), the installer downloaded but when I tried to run it it would just close the application.
I then tried on a different computer (Windows 7), the installer downloaded and opened, I was then able to complete the Kies download.
However, when I then tried to open Kies it immediately said, "Windows is trying to solve a problem that occured". It then asks me to retry but the same happens over and over. I have tried uninstalling the program and re-installing but the same thing happened.
The battery life on my Galaxy S is very low - currently lasting between 7-9 hours with low usage and all the battery saving tips employed - according to Samsung this is a software issue. But before taking it to my nearest service centre, I want to back-up my files...why won't Kies work?
Please advise...
