Is there a way to copy my phone contacts to gmail ? From what i see, if i sync gmail and SGS it's only the other way around.

Easiest way is to go to Contacts, press Menu and select Import/Export. Export all your phone contacts to the SD card, erase all phone contacts (to avoid dulicates late), then import the same contacts into your gmail contacts.

I don't use it myself, but if you can get it to export to a CSV file, you can import it into google calendar. Do a search on terms: google calendar import.

i ran into a problem. I imported my contacts to gmail, but i have some persons with Skype,AIM accounts and even if i added the info on my SGS, it wont show into Gmail Contacts.

Also, it doesn't even show on the phone when i look at a contact. What's the deal when someone has gmail, yhaoo, skype, etc ? Why doesn't it show chatting info other then Yahoo and Gmail ?

Make sure your contacts go into My Contacts not Other contacts in order for the SGS to pick it up. this is an android thing.

When you export your contacts from your phone into Gmail (that's what you're asking isn't it?) you have to put your contacts in the "My contacts" folder. Then they will sync with your phone. The first time I put my contacts into Gmail I didn't see them because they automatically imported into the Other Contacts folder. The Other Contacts folder doesn't sync with the phone.

thank you very much, casz !!! i did it.
What i didn't realized was that SGS contacts database is one thing and Gmail database is another thing, and i didn't understand why it didn't became "one"(meaning same info should appear both on gmail and phone) when i was editing a contact that is already joined. It seems that Gmail should be the primary contacts.
