If so what software do I need to use?

Hope that someone can help.

A bit out of date, Outlook synching !

Calendar and Contacts can go through Samsung's own KIES software.
So, for incoming email you to carefully set up with the same info as your Outlook (don't forget the option to set the "Leave messages on server" for xx days.

These days, it's mostly synching with Gmail or Exchange, meaning, no need for extra software or USB connection to make it work. I suggest you find out how to move it all there, as this means that when you get a new phone (either upgrade, or disaster), you only need to set it up once again, instead of fiddling with sync software once more.

Hi and thanks,

But am I right in thinking that KIES only works with information from phone to outlook.

I have got a new phone and I want to go the other way, from outlook to phone.  That is the problem that I am having.

Cheers,

Fred

Hi Fred,

Is this for your work e-mail? Does your work have an exchange server?

If so, go to Settings->Accounts and Sync->Add Account->Email for Exchange OR
Samsung E-mail App->E-mail for Exchange

I use outlook:

My phone syncs with Google calendar and Google calendar syncs with Outlook. If I make adjustments on the phone, outlook or Google calendar the vent updates everywhere else.

Hope this helps:)

i installed gSyncit on my laptop - syncs Outlook contacts, notes, calender and tasks with Gmail which i then sync with my phone.  To be honest in i only use clander and contacts cos that's all i need - haven't ried the other 2.  But what i do use works seamlessly up and down the food chain ...
laptop <--> Google <--> SGS

it costs $20 US from here ...

it works form me - not sure what other people use
