I have a problem where my Galaxy S phone does not stay turned off. I try to power it off when the battery life gets low, and it looks like it does turn off, however within 30 seconds it powers back on. whats going on??? any help would be appreciated!

Do you press the power button until you get a message box that gives the option of turning off, flight mode or silent mode? Otherwise, on my SGS, the screen is just turned off.

also check our sister forums.

yes, I am holding the power button until the screen comes up, I select to power off, the phone does shut down, and then shortly after it powers back up.

Did your phone ever got contact with any liquid?

Is you location having high humidity?

Do you have serious sweaty palm problem?

If you answer "No" to all the above questions, then you have a faulty device. Go back to the shop and demand a replacment.
