I wanted to take some amazing screenshots from the new Samsung Galaxy S but i was not interested in rooting the phone because that will mean no support and other issues. I wanted a solution to easily take screenshots from phone to Computer and i found this amazing article below which does exacly i was looking for. So i thought of sharing it with you all:

http://arvindgaba.com/computer/samsung-galaxy-s/how-to-take-screenshot-of-samsung-galaxy-s-without-rooting/

Hi testest,

Thanks for the "How to".

I've link it from our Forum's How, What & Where.

Hope you'll post your Screen-Shots HERE.

It worked for me, let me know if it worked for you too.

And, yes it'll work. I'm using this method before I rooted my device  Wink Wink

Thanks

In Froyo you are able to take ScreenShots by just pressing the Back + Home button after eachother!

Then your SGS will automatically save your screen to SDcard - ScreenCapture Wink Wink

Easy Peasy!  Cool

I was using scrolling through my text messages and suddenly it made a camera sound, i went into the gallery and it had taken a screen shot. That's when i figured SGS has screen shot! Cept i don't know how i did it and the back and home thing just takes me to the home page. how can that work? :s

This didn't work on my Epic. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Someone let me know if it works on theirs (after Froyo).

I'm using a program from market called Screenshot It. You need to have a rooted SGS. I find it useful and easy to use since there is a widget on the taskbar.

You need to double clicks and not holding the home key  Big Grin
