i am update firmware via samsung official site recently released ....

so after upgrade to new firm ware gingerbread.jpjv6

baseband version : i9000jxjv6

so what to do???

Rooting:

Did you do a factory reset after update? If yes, go on.
If not, do it now. Backup your data before!
Download the original JPJV6 kernel from hier and run it>>>you'll get a tar file.
0. Battery level: >60 %.
1. Turn off your phone and go to download mode via 3BC.
2. Flash the attached tar file as PDA with NO pit and NO repartition using Odin.
3. Your phone will reboot.
3. Turn off your phone and wait 1 min.
4. Go to download mode using the 3 button combo.
5. Flash the JPJV6.tar file with NO pit and NO repartition using Odin.
6. Reboot.
7. You are done.

You still use froyo right???
you can use z4root then (search it on google z4root.apk),,
it's easy to use,, and you can choose to permanent root or temporary root (it will unroot when you reboot your phone).. and there is an option to unroot your rooted phone too..
after that you can use titanium backup (find it on market)
i used those application to removed unwanted application when i still have froyo..
because if u already update to gingerbread you must flash your phone to root it..
good luck then, Happy
