Have no fear...you can get them back...go on your computer and sign into your Google account. click on your contacts, even though there probably aren't any, or maybe they are there and just haven't sync'd with your phone.

If they haven't sync'd follow these steps:
on your phone, go to MENU>>>then SETTINGS>>>ACCOUNTS AND SYNC>>>turn on GOOGLE (make sure it's Green that little dot on the right)  then choose SYNC ALL on the bottom.

If the above is not correct and they are missing from GOOGLE, again, go to a computer and sign in to GOOGLE and go to your CONTACTS. They might be all gone, but maybe not..no worries....towards the right of the word CONTACTS, you will see 2 icons...one with the words MORE. Click on that little triangle next to MORE and scroll down to RESTORE CONTACTS..here you can choose when to get them back from...

Good Luck!

Hope this helps??  !!!

Feel free to PM me or something if you need further assistance.....

What did you do to lose the contacts? We need more information before we can help

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

If you have any questions, please do a search before posting a new thread and if you can't find anything, then try to put the new thread into the correct forum.

There are so many types of data recovery software available. I am also using Android Mobile Manager software to get data back. This software can recover all types of data including contacts.

greetings all.

l have a problem which hopefully you may assist with. l own a Galaxy S model which had been acting up, l suspected it was a virus, hence l decided to factory reset. As l had installed a memory card and had at one time switched my memory to that l assumed l would be okay as far as messages and most importantly contacts were concerned.

However the reality is l lost all of them, save for a few contacts on the card l lost hundreds of contacts which is really stressing me out.

What really pains me is that even before this l had an issue with the phone. l would save a number but when l try to find in the contacts, l could not find it. However when l started to type it, it would appear. This is very frustrating. l have discovered some of the numbers still reside in the memory by this trick. The trouble is l have no way to directly access their location or a means to add them to my other contacts.

lf you can assist with this l would be thrilled, but if you could also assist with the messages, l would be over the moon. l have synced my contacts but all l am getting are the email addresses but not the numbers which l desperately need.

To add to my woes, one of the reasons l decided to delete everything was about a month ago the pc started to say USB device not recognised. Despite my attempts of reinstalling the driver, using different cables, restarting the pc after having disconnected it totally from the mains the problem still persists.

What typically occurs is that the phone will initially be recognised and then at some point the pc will then say phone is no longer recongised. It is very frustrating such that l was temptted to throw the phone off the roof one time, it was saved by the fact that it was a present and hence l couldnt  do that, but with all the troubles this particular phone has given me l am loath to purchase any samsung models in the future.

To recover contacts from Samsung Galaxy needs the assistant of Samsung Data Recovery. From the expert... I've used this program and it did help me to get my contacts back. Thank God!

If you accidentally deleted your photos, videos, contacts and text messages on your Android, Samsung Galaxy, and so on, you have a chance to recover them. Don’t worry. You can get the help of Android Data Recovery, which will be your best choice and help you restore your lost data on Samsung Galaxy in a simple way. In order to prevent it from being overwritten and recover your data successfully, you have to stop using your Samsung Galaxy after deleting the data by mistake.

When a "delete" is completed, the particular space that the file takes up is usually marked as blank and can be used again by new files, however, the deleted file will probably be still there until finally new data overwrites it. Consequently, if you ever haven't taken any new photos or video clips, you still can recover deleted photos by making use of Coolmuster Android SMS+Contacts Recovery software.
