hi to all...

i am using Galaxy s .. Still Running firmware is Gingerbread.JPJV6

version: Gigerbread 2.3.3

PDA:I9000.JPJV6 . PHONE:I9000JXJV6. CSC: I9000JPJV6.


But I have Try to Install Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 / Higher...
How Can i Do????

I Have try to flash ICS on my phone without bugs/ fewer bugs..  HOW???

any one Install / Flash a ics on galaxy s or not ?????

if any one successfully install / flash a ICS firmware.. Please tell me how can i install or flash a phone with complete instructions...

yesterday i Root the Phone.(GIGERBREAD.2.3.3) Works Perfectly..

after root the phone SuperUser,Tweaks and CWM aplications added into my phone. after then some unwanted aplications (holyquaran,prayer times and alzazeera widget and qiblah direction) i can remove also .

next..
Recently i read in XDA for ICS's teamhacksungs, MIUI and ONECOSMICSs ICS roms.
In there also completly specify how to istall on ICS On galaxy s..

but i can't understand and confused also.. why because first time i have try to flash a phone.. that's y i am asking clearly how to flash / install ICS.????

Incase any i have to do wrong flash a phone is go to bricked..

so going to big troubled.....

That's y iam asking how to do successful install ICS.

after flash a ICS if its works better .. i can runs happily...

in case i can't satisfy ICS on my phone can i come back to gigerbread XWJV1 / XWJVZ. how  can i come to gigerbread also????

please tell me step by step .. instructions...

There are 3 ICS: Teamhacksung's ICS 4.0.3_ Build 11
                          OnecosmicS ICS RC1
                          Galnet ICS_v4.
How to install:

A. Temahacksung'ICS:
   - download the build (build_10) and gapps_6 from XDA.
   - you are on Gingerbread ROM like XWJW1 or XWJVZ, etc. and flashed a CWM compatible kernel like Semaphore, Midnight, Galaxian, Talon, Tornado, etc.
   - Copy the files downloaded to your internal SDcard
   - go to recovery via 3 button combo.
   - wipe data/factory reset+ wipe cache
   - install the build,your phone will boot (if I remember correctly), if not flash gapps_v6.
   - wipe data/factory reset+wipe cache again.
   - reboot.
You are done.

(The latest build is Build_11, but installing it, you'll get bootloops, therefore try with build_10).

B. Onecosmic's ICS:

   - Download RC1 and Fugu kernel from OP. on XDA.  (hier)
   - download MIUI MintBerry ROM from hier.
   - go to recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
   - install the MMB (version_1.12.16).
   - go to recovery
   - flash the Fugu kernel.
   - battery out/in.
   - go to recovery via 3 button combo.
   - flash the RC1.
   - flash the kernel again.
   - reboot.
   - setup your google account.
   - you may be not rooted, therefore you should flash "Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip" in recovery. >>Google search
   - reboot.
  you are done.

C. Galnet_v4 (ICS).

  - download the ROM from hier and save your internal SDcard.
  - go to recovery
  - wipe data/factory reset+wipe cache+wipe dalvik cache
  - flash the ROM
  - reboot.
 you are done.

iam using Officially updated GingerBread.JPJV6.
my kernal version is : 2.6.35.7-i9000XXJVO-CL182937. se.infra@sep-51 #2.

so how can i get CWM compatible kernal. ????

NEXT

i downloaded already teamhacksung's build 11 md5 one week before..
after extract in there is somany files and folders and system images is there..
so which files i can put into mysdcard????and which name create a folder for put a files????

and ..
in the build 10 touch adn smoothness is slow problems is there some one is write there..

any way i can redownload build 10 and gapps v6.

You don't need to extract anything. You'll use only the zip file.

and ..

You shouldn't care about someone. The someone hasn't tried it, only speak in the air.

some small questions for flash a phone..

1.how can i back up running firmware or i leave ?????
(if any wrong flash can i come back into same as well as gingerbread for recovery) or not???


2. where can i download semaphore kernal and which version ?????
  

i search in xda there is semaphore kernal _jw1.2.4.0 bm.tar and semaphore kernal_jw1 2.4.0.tar  to download.

which version kernal i can download???? what is the differnece between with bm.tar and without bm.tar???

and myfirmware is GINGERBREAD.JPJV6. is it suitable above kernal. or another one????

How to flash kernal.???? kernal which purpose????

can i update after flash the build using with kies or not????

first flash the kernal after flash build  or first flash the build after flash the kernal???? which one can i do first????

and gapps when its flash ????or this is also same put in to zip file in sdcard after flash build after flash the gapps???

in my clockwork mode recovery displays 2 options.

one is --wipe data/factory reset
2nd is-- wipe cache partition
these 2 options displays there is no combined option means

wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache this option is no displays...

4.how can i do these above colored steps???


5.how to flash gapps ???? before flash build 10 after i can put in gapps zip file after that's same flash as to do or???

6.if can i download build 12 and gapps v7????  
or try with build 10. ?????

its looks very nice. but some more development progress is there..

Were you on the 3e bootloader on gingerbread originally?

i am selected still running now A.Teamhacksung's build 12.

so u can also try to build 14.
....

now iam  thinking ...reflash to build 14 / wait for future release of build 15.

Waiting for build 15. when release it i can reflash build 15.
