your steps 1-14 is how to put gingerbread on your phone? then steps 15-21 is when you flash the Darly's ROM..am I right? because on my case, Im already on gingerbread XXJVK so that means that all I have to do is to follow the remaining 15-21 steps? I am also rooted, so is does mean that I have to unroot my phone first, download the unrooted kernel of XXJVK and flash it on my phone? Am I at the right track? thanks

There are new Darky's ROMs based on JVH,too.
I suggest that you flash one of them.
Darky's ROMs:-"Darky's Resurrection Edition 10.1 (GT-I9000)"
                   -"Darky's_v10.1_Extreme_Edition".
-"Ficeto's JVH Base roms for ODIN and CWM"

1. it depends on which Darky's you want to install.
2. from step 1.
3. you don't need to be root.
4. On the new ROM you can restore all the data you used on the previous ROM.

Hi...I flashed to darky rom with "Ficeto_JVB.zip" & "Darky V10 RC5 Final.zip" as mentioned in your step by step guide. I stucked on point 19 ("go to CWM using "long press power button, tap on "Recovery"). I couldn.t see CWM..So I switched off the phone and went to recovery mode by pressing 3 button. Finally it rebooted with darky's booting logo
1.The way I did is correct...?

2.I have seen some video regarding darky's special window animations. (like the window animating from from the corner)..Could you please tell me how to get this...?

Thanks

1. When you press long the Power button, can't you see "Recovery"?
2. menu>settings>Display>Animation:select some/all animations.

Hi...I found these two in darky's rom...which one is best...?

 "Darky's Resurrection Edition 10.1 (GT-I9000)"
 "Darky's_v10.1_Extreme_Edition".

And i found two files:-
1. Ficeto_Deodexed_JVH_I9000_ODIN.zip
2. Ficeto.Deodexed.XWJVH.v2.zip (i think this is CMW).

DO I HAVE TO FLASH WITH Ficeto_Deodexed_JVH_I9000_ODIN.zip AND THEN Ficeto.Deodexed.XWJVH.v2.zip (i think this is CMW)......?

Please help...

1. Yes, you should flash "Ficeto_Deodexed_JVH_I9000_ODIN.tar" using Odin.
(I used it for 2 weeks.).This is a base ROM.
2. But if you want a lot of preinstalled apps., settings, theme, in this case download the "Darkys_v10.1_Extreme_Edition.zip",put it in your internal SD card and flash it using CWM.
But first grab "Darky Config." from Market, open it, make the settings in it then go to CWM and install it.
