Try these...

1 ) Open your Email application.
2 ) Press Menu button and select Add account
3 ) Enter your full AOL email address (including @aol.in)
4 ) Enter your AOL email password
5 ) Check Send email from this account by default.
6 ) Tab Next.

buddy this is not the way it always shows incorrect username or password
all mailbox settings are to be manually entered (except 4 gmail and hotmail )
enter full email add in username

AOL Mail Settings

The AOL email service is a web based system, designed for managing your AOL mailbox via HTTP IMAP access. Unlike Hotmail, you can use any email client to access your AOL mailbox, as long as it supports the IMAP protocol.
AOL Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) - imap.aol.com (port 143)  ( same settings for aol.in )
AOL Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.aol.com or use your local ISP SMTP mail server
