Hi,

This has got to be a dumb question, but I searched and couldn't find anything.

I  don't know how to get a pic from my computer onto my Samsung GalaxyS.  My Blackberry came with a USB plug and software that made it pretty easy.  My Samsung didn't come with one.

I'm also wondering if it's possible to download a pic directly from the internet (like facebook for example) using the browser from my Samsung.  This phone is so awesome that I sometimes forget it's still just a phone and I can't just right click and save.  I'd appreciate any info.  Thanks.

For connecting to PC, there's some simple steps HERE. #17, 25 and/or 29.

If it's just a phone without right-click, then just try "Long Press" on the image.

Thanks.  I'm a bit of an idiot, b/c I forgot that there is a USB cable on my charger!  So getting pics from my PC to phone and visa versa is easy now.  But the long press doesn't work.  You'd think there would have to a way to download a jpeg image from the internet, but I can't figure out how.  Thanks again.

By Long Pressing on a picture, a popup menu will give you the choice to Save image or View image...

Thank you.  I really appreciate your help.  But when I do this I get a similar looking pop up, but instead of "Save Image" and "View Image" it says "View", and "Photo details".

I should mention that I'm doing this on Facebook.  I haven't tried it anywhere else.  But these facebook photos are easily saved from a computer, so I don't know why it won't let me do it on my phone.

EDIT:  Okay, I just tried this on a website and got the same pop up that you imaged.  So it works on normal web sites.  Hmm.  I wonder why won't it work for Facebook?

Anyway, thank you!

Try tapping on "View" first. When the image is loaded, Long Press on it again.

Try tapping on "View" first. When the image is loaded, Long Press on it again.

The problem seems to be that these pics are in albums.  After long pausing and selecting view, I get a kind of slide show where I can click an arrow next or previous.  Long hold doesn't do any good here either.

I really appreciate your help.  I feel funny b/c I'm not even sure this is a Samsung issue anymore, but a Facebook one.  So I'm not sure I should continue asking about it here.  Thanks.

I don't think it would do any good, b/c it's not my page and I'm sure these photos aren't public.  Also, I just tried a long press on a photo I knew to be public from Facebook, but it required me to be logged in first.  Do you have a Facebook account?  If so, you can try any pic.  I don't think it will work though.  It must be something with the way Facebook formats photos on their site.  Works like a charm from any desktop though.
