Hi,

Does anyone know how I can back up my memos? I accidentally deleted one yesterday, even though it asked me to confirm the delete, DOH!

I tried to install Kies to my Windows 7 64-bit PC, but there was no 'Kies' USB connection option on my phone when I connected it to my PC.

I looked at several posts and replies on this subject. It seems that you need to be an IT whizzkid to be able to fix all the Kies problems, surely it doesn't have to be that complicated?

Are there any apps available to back up my memos, or can I find them on the SD card and back up from there?

It almost makes me want my eyefone and eyetoons back again, life was oh so simple then......!

Thanks in advancecfor any help!

You could save them a copy on dropbox or something like that if you want it on the cloud. Save it on a SD card then insert the card into your computer to back it up (I did that for the first while).

To get Kies to run in Win 7 I think you have to run in XP admin mode. To find the Kies mode go into settings then about phone and USB settings. I have mine set to ask on connection. I don't know why since it always starts Kies anyway.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I feel very stupid...... How do I save it on an SD card? There is no option to save any one or part of a memo. The only options available when I press the menu key are 'Create' 'Maximise' & 'Delete'.

I already connect the phone to my PC in Mass Storage mode and back up everything that is on the SD card, but I can't seem to find the memos in any of the folders which are on the SD card, am I missing something?

With Kies, how do I 'run in XP admin mode'?

Also, when I go into Settings/About phone there is no USB settings option. Does this option only appear if I have Kies installed on my PC, and I have the Epic connected to my PC?

Thanks!

Just use AK Notepad. It's a memo app that let's you sync online. Once sync'ed, you can see it online and if you install AK on any other Android, those will be sync'ed as well.

That might be OK for new memo's but I still need to locate & copy them to my tablet.  How is this done?  I can't find the appropriate file on my phone.

What memo app are you using?

TMemo also has a sync feature. What you can do is sync your phone and then try to sync your tablet. Your memo's should get updated between devices if you're using the same memo app that has that sync feature.

I'm just using the pre installed app that came with the phone.  It doesn't appear to have a unique name but the icon is just a white square with a 'T' on it & is called memo.

I think that's the same one. Look at the app settings and see if there's a sync option. If there is, try it. It says it syncs with Google docs, so you should be able to see it online.

I checked my memo settings and I don't have any synch option, I can't copy them to the sd card either, any other idea of how can I make a back up?  The only options available in settings are create, delete, maximise and search.

Can you try opening a note, then edit? Maybe you can try copying the text and pasting it on a word document?

Otherwise, I'm stumped. Again, try AK Notepad. It has all those features you want.
