Please, i'm from Brazil. I have a Galaxy S i9000b. My problem is: i want to change de ring tone of notification (agenda). Always play the same ring tone. I've tried using the Tone Picker, ran a few times but then stopped. Does anyone have any tips? I use the calendar much, so I needed to change the tone. Please help-me!

Hi arteng,
Im also trying to find a way to change the calendar ring tone but found only a root solution at xda-developers forum which youll need to replace the original ring ton by other of your choice with the same name in a specific "folder"

I think you have to upgrade to Fryo 2.2 to do this.

Install some file manager on the phone, Astro is good (you find it on Android market).
Use the file manager to make a new folder called "notifications" in your already existing folder "/sdcard/media/audio".
Copy any mp3-file to the new folder.
Your mp3-file will now show up among the sounds in calendar settings.
(You find the setting here: Menu>More>Settings>Ringtones, not sure of the exact names of settings since I use swedish language in my phone)

You can do the same with "alarms" and "ringtones". Just create folders with exactly that names in your audio folder and the tunes will show up among the clocks alarm sounds and the phones ringtones correspondingly.

Here is another tip to change the "calendar" notification.  I'm not sure why.  But on my phone, the tone I wanted to use had to be placed in the phones memory.  Not on the removable sd card.  Although the rest of my custom tones and notifications are placed on the removable sd card, they would not show up in the ring tone list for the calendar .  If you are unsure of which folder your working with, remove the mini sd before you start.  Keep in mind, this is my experience and may not be the same for everyone depending on your model number and firmware version.

model #: SGH-T959

Firmware : 2.1 - update 1

Connect you phone through the usb cable, in mass storage mode -- then mount, by pulling down your notifications list.  Tapping on "USB Connected", then choosing mount in the message that pops up. After that, the "windows auto play options pop up" -- Double click on "open folder to view files" in your phone memory.  (if you did not remove the mini sd before starting...two windows will pop up...make sure your working with the correct folder)  After opening the phones file folder, a list of more folders will show.  Add new folder here and name it media, inside that folder make another new one named audio.  That process will make this new path in your phones memory. -- Android/Media/Audio -- You can make more new folders inside the media folder along with the audio one, named whatever you like to keep your files more organized.  Inside the Audio folder, is where you will put the tone you want to use as the notification sound for the calendar.

I hope this helps anyone else with this issue.  I apologize for rambling on, I tried to make it so everyone can follow along.

What i did for solving this issue were a mix of the tips above. No root was needed.
Just install the Calendar Snooze free app on the market, create those folders mentioned above, put any mp3 file you want into the notifications folder and you are there. Youll need only to configure the calendar snooze app.
for me is solved until oficial froyo comes to brazillian devices.
