Hi to one and all!  I am new to the world of android phones and am loving it.  I'm still having trouble with one thing though.  I still can not add voice recordings or music to the notification ringtone list.  I have tried following the directions that are posted in the tips portion in the forum but, alas, I am a simpleton and need step by step directions and put in simple terms.  I am not computer savvy at all!  If anyone out there is willing to take the time not to mention pity on me and help me out, I would really really appreciate it.

Remember that it is an idiot attempting this and it has to be step by step.  I have almost missed some texts due to the ones that come with the phone not being noticeable enough.  Please hurry!

It's now been a couple of hours and I have figured it out all by myself!  You other sgs people that are like me here is how to do it;

go to the market and get the ringdroid.  It is a free app.  It will automatically put all voice recordings and music into this app.  From there you find what you want to put into your notification or ringtones and click on the little green square to the right.  A menu will then pop up with 4 options.  Tap "edit".  You can then play with editing to make the tune to your liking.  From there you tap the save button and it will pop up another menu.  Choose how you would like it saved by pressing the down arrow.  In my case I chose notification.  It will then ask if you would like to set as your default notification.  You can press yes or no and it will still save to you notification ringtones.

I hope that this helps someone else like it did me! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Wink Wink

you can also do this without using that app, what I did before is I look for the notification folder on my phone using the default File manager, (or any file manager) after finding the location I look for the notification that I want to add and move it to that folder. After doing this, you can already see this file as an option notification. But this is one of the way of doing that, yours is also good, kudos for that  Sticking out tongue
