I just recently bought the SGS and I can't seem to get on the Internet. It just comes up with "There is no network connection right now, please try again later". I'm new to all these latest type of phones so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you trying to connect via 3G or via your home wifi?
Which provider are you with?

I have the same problem! Same error message... i can NOT connect to the internet unless i am using WiFi. Been like this since i got the phone a month ago! I wish i could fix it and figure it out! I have Straight Talk, SG2, AT&T. They haven't helped me at all.

There has to be an issue with your APN settings. These SHOULD be supplied by your network supplier. They should be able to give you all the information required or send a SMS with the settings for you to save.

Or it could be simply that APNs that are already available haven't been selected. You should find APNs in SETTINGS -> WIRELESS & NETWORKS -> MOBILE NETWORKS titles may differ a little depending on operating software). There you should find an option titled Access Point Names (APNs) and within there, evenas default, there should be a few APNs for you to try.

Select one and make sure your WiFi is off and then reboot. Once the device FULLY loads back up, try accessing the internet via the stock browser. If it still doesn't work, try a different APN and repeat the entire process. Keep repeating till you find one that works.

If you can't find one, you'll have to contact your network supplier and ask specifically for the Access Point Name settings for your specific device.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

If you have any questions, please do a search before posting a new thread and if you can't find anything, then try to put the new thread into the correct forum.
