Hi guys I  just bought my samsung galaxy and so far so good. I have a couple of questions.  First what app do I need to be abe to open my excel files that I receive as attachments via email? I need to be able to view and edit these docs. Second is im a sales guy on the road and im looking for some kind of app to keep a customer database where im able to add contact info but also notes from the last visit with them. Thanks I appreciate your help and advice

Hello and welcome to the forums!

For office doc opening/editing, try Documents To Go. For a customer database, there are various notepad, memo or even calendar apps you could use besides the ones on your phone. If you want to create something like a 201-file, you could simply make separate Word Docs for each client, and just update them. Saving them as office documents is inherently more secure because they're saved in an external sd, so no matter what happens to your phone's system, your files will still be secure.

Not sure what's happening with you two, but in Europe, Samsung is actually the only one to include Swype on their phones. But not only that, they're also the only one to include ThinkFree Office. Saves you 50 bucks easily, something that's never picked up in comparison charts (one of the reason SGS kicks everyone's ʌnl, but nobody really knows this).
Anyway, if you don't have ThinkFree Office installed already, probably some network partnering demanded this be removed or something, and that's it too bad for ya.

you can try Documento - Office Viewer it an application to only read & view documents and also XSL file is very cheap compared to the other applications and very good. I think it costs one dollar or one Euro, I'm not sure I purchased it before 2 month ago. hope that i help you.
