Delay when adding shortcuts to homescreen

All in all, my SGS is quite quick and I don't experience any type of delay or lag except when adding shortcuts to my homescreen. For example, when I hit Menu>Add it will ask give me the options of adding a Widget, Shortcut, Folder or Wallpaper. All is well, and then I hot Shortcut>Applications. It takes literally about 15 seconds to show a list of my apps. However, it's just the Apps, not bookmarks or contacts, etc. So I'm thinking it's maybe just because I have aaaalot of apps, but better safe than sorry. Thanks in advance.

Even if I select widgets, it's quick. Only when I try to add apps.
