Whenever someone calls my phone, it only displays the number but not the name. On display options of contacts, i have already ticked 'only contacts with phones' and chose phone contacts to display. still nothing.

I am running on froyo 2.2. kernel version 2.6.32.9.

can anyone help?

Hi, if the same number is saved under different names then it does not know which name to display so it would simply display the number. So dial the number and check if you have the same number under two different names (as you type the number on the right hand side there is a display which gives the count of contacts, pull down menu gives the contact names which matches the first few digits)..hope this helps..

Cheers, S

i'm not so sure if it was just a glitch in the system but i wiped out my phone book and installed them one by one and everything seems to be fine now.
