I took videos last night on my Galaxy S via the video mode on the camera, now I cant find where these videos are saved to. The default memory was for Phone.
I've gone through and searched via Astro and the other file managers and I can't find them anywhere. I've gone through the DCIM folders and they aren't there. They definitely recorded so it's not like I didn't click the button.
Any idea where to find them?

To confirm that you have created videos, they would show up in the image gallery (stock image viewer app). If you can confirm that they are there, then they must be on the device.

Secondly, it would be wise to double check in the camera app you are using, there the data is being saved to.

If then connect you device to a computer in Mass Media mode, you show be able to navigate to the folders via Windows Explorer on the PC. Load up My Computer or Computer and both the internal and external SD cards should show up as Removable Storage devices (meaning removable from the computer).

Once in the directory where the images and videos are (supposed to be), you should be able to arrange the items by TYPE allowing you to easily identify the videos from the images.

All default file names are allocated as IMG for image or VID for video followed by the date and time. For example, if I took an image of me typing this post, it would save it by it's default name and would show in the folder as IMG_20121215_213215

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take advantage of having Google on your phone! Save all contacts to GMail and they never get lost, wiped, replaced etc.

Titanium Backup for apps and data. SMS Backup & Restore for messages.

If you have any questions, please do a search before posting a new thread and if you can't find anything, then try to put the new thread into the correct forum.
