i want that gingerbread on my phone but i dont know the results of being failed.
will it bricked?

No, if you can get to download mode using 3 button combo.
In this case you can re-flash it or other ROM. (I'm speaking about flashing.)

dont worry its easy.  just download the required files on ur pc and read the instructions carefully. its very simple.  i flashed my sgs to gingerbread and i m happy.

Yes, it's easy, but 2 things before:
1. on your phone "Simlock and Network lock" must be OFF.
2. You have to use 3 button combo during flashing.
