What are the Country/Carrier IDs mean?

Hi eveybody,

Refer to bro rence's post about country/carrier IDs, I thought of making this Topic so that we can know about what each ID means.





Please help to post in the format as Hardware model, Previous Firmware version (if any), Firmware version, Carrier, Country and Country/Carrier ID.

Mine is:
GT-i9000, PDA:JG4 / PHONE:JG4 / CSC:JG4, PDA:JPA / PHONE:JPA / CSC:JPA, SingTel, Singapore, SIN.

My nephew's:

I did one upgrade but can't remember original versions) through kies to get the 3 button fix.

it says BMC when I put in that code you cited. I looked over at XDA and googled in general and didn't find it so I didnt' put it in before.

Yes, I flashed it using one of the roms from here http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/index.php?topic=1993.0

I lived in Australia but bought my I9000 in Taiwan about a year ago. So I was in ZT country code but I just upgraded to gingerbread via Kies and now it's showing ZS (China, HongKong) as country code. Anyway, I am now in Samsung stock ROM JV5.
