Hi All,

I am in the process of upgrading my Galaxy S to either the Galaxy Note or Nexus.
Before I make the upgrade I would be interested in any comments from users that have already made the step up.
What are your views? I am guessing these would be a better step up then to go with the SGS 2?

Regards
Kevin.

What do you mean upgrading to nexus? I think you want to buy a nexus means upgrading from sgs1 to nexus.:-*

Hi, My meaning is I wish to look at purchasing a new Samsung Galaxy, and was wondering about which one to go for.
In this case the Note or the Nexus?
From a quick search on the net and also seeing both together the main differences I see are that the Note has a 5" screen to the Nexus's 4.3".
Note is still using Gingerbread where as Nexus is ICS. However I would have to believe the Note will update to ICS.
I did think about going with a SGS2, but now that these 2 newer ones are out maybe I should go to either of these?
That was my question. Hope this helps?

Also I note you are running ICS on your SGS1, could you advise where I can download this firmware and try on my SGS1? Thanks

Regards Kevin.

Was in your position not too long ago.

Was looking at the Nexus, SGS2, Note, HTC Sensation LE, Moto Droid Razr.

Of the bunch, the best was the Galaxy S2. Specs wise, I actually like the SGS2 over the Nexus.

The Note was pretty interesting though. When I was in HongKong, I saw more Notes than either the Galaxy s/2, or the iPhone being used by people. They really love it over there. Had a chance to handle it and it really wasn't all that big, meaning you could put it in your pocket easily enough. I still felt kinda weird putting it next to my ear though. But, performance wise, the Note smokes everything else out there, including the Galaxy S2.

I wouldn't concern myself over OS versions too much since you can pretty much flash whatever ROM you want anyway, or simply just wait for the coming update. Honestly, Gingerbread is just fine.
