Samsung Galaxy S very very slow

hi Guys,
My Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9003 has become incredibly slow lately. Its take somewhere around 10sec after I swipe for call to actually make the call. If somebody has any idea then please help. I am searching for a workaround, else I will have to format the phone to company default setting, which will be my last resort.

I can understand that my problem could be a bit subjective. However can't see any other way to explain it.

FYI: All other apps seems to be working fine. I can also provide with a list of all the installed apps, if that might expedite the resolution.

Thanks for replying, but your suggestion has not helped much. I am still facing the issue.
Let me reiterate, the phone behaves very slow only while making a call i.e. Sliding across to make a call. It takes around 10sec for the the phone to actually make a call, after sliding the screen.
Having said that I would also like to add that all other apps i.e. games etc seems to be working just fine.

Kindly suggset again?
