Used for custom roms. You will need to format again.

Peace.

Set CPU can increase or decrease your clock speed.

When you Increase Speed it increases battery Life and increases Wear and tear.

When you Decrease Speed it decreases Battery Life and decreases Wear and Tear.

as For Rom Manager it's for managing Custom ROM's like Darky or CM7.

Peace.

Yes.
1. You should be on Stock Froyo ROM (XXJPU).
2. You should flash the Speedmod-K13C kernel on XXJPU.
3. Download the latest Nightly from hier.
4. Download the gapps20110613.
5. Copy the both files on your internal SD card.
6. Do a nandroid backup (in CWM).
7. Turn off your phone and go to Recovery via 3 button combo.
8. Flash the Nightly. (install zip from sd card, etc.)
9. reboot.
10. 7.
11.Flash the gapps20110613. (install zip ...)
12.reboot.
13.You are done.

Yes, you can. The CM7 guide says, you must be on Froyo. Follow the steps in my post!
I did so. Later I flashed a gingerbread bootloader on cm7. It saves your battery but external SD card will be lost.

I see. My internal card is almost full because I store movies.  Space left is 5 gig. Still ok for cm 7?
