I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S. It's my first smart phone so I'm learning as I go. I received it with a number of "pre-installed" apps that I want to remove. I found the way to remove the apps I added myself, but the pre-installed ones seem to be treated differently. I even went to the app download area and tried to search for the app, hoping to be able to un-install that way, but my search method failed. I searched for a single word app and was offered a whole list of apps, all with multiple word names, none of which was the one I wanted to un-install. Am I missing something? This is all pretty Greek to me right now. I have been looking on the user guide on the internet but that seems to be more a general/generic collection of thoughts.

You cannot un-install any build-in applications. Not, unless your device is rooted.
