I had this issue also with my previous Samsung (INNOV i8510), and I could solve it using Samsung special codes

The thing is, when you try to record a video in a festival/concert/live event... music level is too high for mobile microphone sensitivity, and video is great, but audio always distorts

Solution is to enter in Service mode, using this code *#*#197328640#*#*, and then set the microhpone sensitivity when recording with minor values. I knew how to do it in my INNOV, but in the Galaxy S menus are not the same, and I'm still trying to find which one is the right one to set that properly. Maybe some of you already did it, or perhaps you know another solution

Waiting fro some replies Happy

Hi.

When I record using the Video camera its all nice in quality and such but once every ~30 seconds I get this: Error could not record... or something like that (dont know EXACT words but it has the word ERROR in it) and then deletes the entire video it recorded. It specially happens when theres something loud going on, like a car going woom woom or music. Oh and the the sound quality is horrible, even if Id just say Hello it would go robotic and stupid. I was on an event thats only once per year and had this Audi S1 going around, I recorded but the sound is horrible and then I had tons of these errors, once the cellphone decided to lock me out completely from using it. Is there NO way to choose how sensitive the sound recorder should be or something? Its super sensitive for some weird reason. The filesize also increases depending on sound volume in teh surrounding for some reason. I can have it laying around on a table for 2minutes and the filesize isnt that big, but once sound goes on, then woah! Its massive and it start sending out these errors and erasing the clip.

And I cannot watch a youtube video without being thrown back a page or two in the browser.

And one last thing, the phone is quite slow after being on for about 2 hours and I do not have any custom apps or anything its all default. Not to mention the GPRS is semi broken and wont even load the area youre at. (Even google earth is quicker!)

If you tried to be a smartass you just failed at it.

A sample from another user, I can find plenty of videos with HORRIBLE sound from the stupid camera.
So no, they are not all unique to me.

And there are also reasons to why there are "anti-lag" fixes on the internet for this particular phone.

Yes, me to. It's a real pain in the ʌnl when you look back at the videos, the sound is so censored up u can't even hear what u were filming. So, is there a solution to all this ?

I have tried to enter Service Mode as you've described (albeit to address another issue) but when I enter that character code on my keypad and press send I simply get an error message from Verizon saying that they can't complete the call.  not pressing Send doesn't do anything either.  What am I missing here?
