... Though I agree with you in that rooting should not invalidate a hardware problem. On the other hand, if you happen to brick your phone (unlikely, I believe), then they have reason to refuse you service.

I am waiting for my phone to come back, not repaired, because i am not willing to pay 350 dollars to repair it. It is stupid, given the circumstances, and the fact it is a manufacturing problem.
I think they took my phone out of the warranty, but i am not shure. Tomorrow i will receive it and i will know

. I will try myself to go directly to a samsung service, this time with the original not rooted android .
I was annoyed by the way Samsung dealt with the problem.
