Hi all.

I'm new to Samsung and new to Android and I know I should be posting this part in the lounge or whatever but a have a question which I think belongs in here.

When I got my Samsung Galaxy S about a month ago, it had an app on there named "Daily Briefing". After installing Kies, the phone updated once, maybe twice cannot remmeber but after the update, Daily Briefing was gone!

I've searched the phone and the Market but can't find anything!

Does anyone have an answer to this?

Also, I know there are plently of posts on stuff you can do having rooted the SGS; I like technology but I'm not to keen on rooting. Is there a limited amout of stuff you can with the phone standard and what are the actual advantages of rooting?

Daily Briefing is not there with Gingerbread!!

I don't know how to get it back, but I still have daily briefing, and I've updated to Gingerbread.

I've sent an email to samsung costumer service, about daily  briefing is lost after gingerbread update in my sgs from voda germany. They replied me that some app maybe or not available in all countries, so we must wait to 2.3.4. or root and install. Or changing product code
