Hi

I have an unlocked Galaxy s 1900
I also have an external sd card installed , 16 gb
I have sent stuff to this card via my computer
It shows up when looking at my computer as being on the card

My question is , how do I open this card to have  a look etc .

Cheers and thanks

Hi Casz

Thanks for that .Have tried that before but it comes up with''your phone does not have a sd card inserted

Well it does , as previously mentioned when I check my computer the card has been given a drive letter , I open the drive and the file is there .
Which theoretically means its on the card

Have also used Astro manager but no luck
Have spoken to Samsung and they advised to get a new card .
Have done that but still the same
They have now advised ''reset the phone  but of course I would prefer not
to
Not sure what to try next

Thanks Again

Hi ,

Further to my reply , when I do a search for the particular file it will find it with the info that it is in the External sd card.
Also when looking at phone storage etc it gives the size of the card as
Total Space 1.84 gb ( its a 2 gb card )
Available space 1.73 gb . So i am assuming the info has been written to the card.
Where to now

Cheers and thanks

It is very strange that you can use the card yet not see it from the phone.

What do you see when you got to Settings|SD Card and Phone Storage? You should see and external card and an internal card. Can you unmounting then mounting the SD card or have you tried that?

Hi  Casz

Thanks for the reply
Have tried the mount / unmount scenario's.
Yes it is strange that it writes to the card I can see the card details on the computer but cannot see the card details on the phone . Frustrating for sure.
To be so close I must be missing something

Cheers
