Is there an easy way or do I have to manually enter each contact again?

Thanks Guys

if you use a gmail account for your contacts and have added the account to you phone - you open up your phone's gmail ...

use the light up menu button bottom left of phone
--> account settings
--> tick 'background data' and 'autosync' (?)
--> under 'manage accounts' choose which gMail account you wish to sync with your phone ...
under 'Data and Synchronisation' you get to choose if you'd like to sync 'Instant Upload' (what ever this is - a Google+ thingy perhaps?), your 'contacts' your 'gMails' and our 'Calendar'
--> choose 'sync now'

and it's done

if you don't use a gmail account, then i' afraid this will be no help, perhap if you some one else will be able to help you.

but the beauty of using gmail is that i think you can immediately add all your contacts with all their details to any android device. You may have to choose to save to your google account and not your phone when adding an new contact to your phone - but this is no biggie

good luck with it
: -)

Thanks for your reply but I use Hotmail and every contact is stored on the HD7. Evil

Why do they make it so difficult to transfer contacts?  Angry

Well I worked it out so I'll share.

Downloaded RemoSync and transfered all email addresses from hotmail and contacts to Gmail.
Then synced to phone. To easy. Smile
