As soon as I got my Galaxy S2 I fitted it with a screen protective plastic sheet of the "helicopter wing" type. Now some 6-7 months later that plastic has started curling up around the edges and I am thinking of pulling it off.

But I would hate to see the glass get scratched by other stuff I have in my pocket.

My quiestion aims mostly at those who have not bothered with any protection.

My Galaxy S used to have protection but then it would get all scratched up and ultimately I got tired of putting on new ones so I decided to just go "nude." So far, zero scratches.

I also have an S2 and I'm not gonna put a scratch protector there either.

I had a black one originally with no screen protector and i have to be honest that did get a couple of scratches on it.  Not deep but annoying enough.

I got a white one a few months ago and put a screen protector on straight away.  It had a slight accident involving some stairs and a cat the other day and although the gorilla glass is intact and still scratch free, the internal LED is slightly broken.  Luckily it is insured but lost without it  Crying

Get a screen protector dude! You will kick yourself in a couple of months if you don't. The gorilla glass is super tough, but once scratched (and it will happen), you can not buff the scratches out like with lesser screens.

I've never used a screen protector in 7-8 months of having the phone. It has an almost un-noticeable mark on it (that you only notice once in a 1000 looks) and is otherwise perfect.

I do have some protectors coming for work from Expert Shield though and I will be using them when they come (I have promised to do a review of them).
