How are you supposed to open the battery compartment of the samsung galaxy s II without breaking it, which feels like what I might do every time I try. The pictorial so-called instructions on how to do so are useless, not clear at all on what I should be doing.

Get a running start towards the balcony and give it a spartan throw.

There is a little bit on the side for you to get a nail or a tooth pick into, use that.

An idiot can open the back door, there is even a sticker on the back labeling how it's done.

Also, where do you check the remaining battery life?  Is it an icon?  An app?  What? The only time I can tell is when the message flashes that my battery power is low.
