yes me 2 waiting the 2.2 update since it include the arabic characters also !!

Froyo is now officially available in Austria.
But I must say that my SGS now works more slowly than with 2.1 update 1!?!? I do not understand??  Angry

hi, i'm from malaysia. my phone bought from spore. facing some problem.
1. Yesterday jz upgraded my phone firmware from andriod 2.1 to 2.2.
 I didnt use the kies app to upgrade it, but i follow instruction from forum at internet. That using Odin3_v1.0.
During installation everything working fine. Today i try to use kies app to download samsung app. a pop up message as below shown:.

Can someone tell me what the problem and how to solve it?

2. I have successfully restore my contact number from kies app that i backup before. But i failed to restore all my sms from kies app to my phone.

Any solution suggested from your side?

For which country did you use 2.2 to upgrade?
If that country doesn't have access to Samsung App, then you also don't have access to it.

Wait a second. If Malaysia has 2.2 FW, why did you use Odin to upgrade?

Hi, my misunderstand about the word "upgrade firmware" and "upgrade andriod 2.1 to andriod 2.2" So i just follow the forum internet.

It is because i not using the original kies app to upgrade firmware. That why now my phone now unable to use samsung app?

Any possible to downgrade back to andriod 2.1?

At last!
With all you guys posting about 2.2.1 etc. I finally get an upgrade to 2.2 on Orange. It was a long time coming but it e was certainly worth the wait. No real speed improvements that I can tell but most of my niggles have been addressed:

Music over bluetooth no longer stutters
Navigation now uses decent voice instead of harsh robot
Flash / I player (obviously)

Still no fix for google goggles not working over 3g (but that's an Orange issue)
