Hmm, I'm on version 90 for Kies and every time check update then click on cancel (because I've already updated) MSC.Thunder.Firmawareupdate crashes. Hope it doesn't do that when the update is out.

I had the same problem til just now after updating to version 92 (which is available on the Samsung site). http://img.samsungapps.com/support/kies_win.exeNow when I cancel the update it no longer hangs. I'd suggest that anyone who has this issue to NOT upgrade until you get that resolved. |

Thanks rectagon. I ran that file. My version of Kies said it didn't have an update available but I wasn't going to upgrade until that was resolved, that's for sure.

Still not available here, too.. although with the latest Kies.
But @XDA-Dev, so many people had upgraded, but somehow there's still problem with this 2.2 official Froyo from Samsung.
Better stick with Eclair for now. Coz it works still fine for me.

Thanks for the hint. The problem is solved by installing Kies_1.5.3.10093_82
I do not understand why Kies_1.5.3.10093_80 didn't propose me the update as I have selected automatic update. Anyway the issue is solved and now I am waiting for Android 2.2 update!
