I followed DocDan's post on Whirlpool for 2.2.1 - certainly appears faster, still trying everything out, but can confirm that I also have lost access to latest Kies after it.

I think this is a test version as I downloaded it via Kies after using a reg hack that spoofs test mode. Kies even upgraded 2.2.1 from JPX to JPY the day after. It has transformed the phone to easily better my iphone 4 for performance.

I can't wait for 2.2.1 either.  But i would imagine the official release is only days away.  Can't wait for a proper functioning phone again Happy

also just for the record.  Its still version 2.2 according to my phone.  now to try and find out what exactly they changed.

Also an update on how it works...Its awesome.  Very snappy and almost no lag what so ever... I am very pleased....and my weird not being able to back out of anything issue is gone Big Smile  I think this is faster than the iphone 4 now!

Hopefully Bell uploads it to my phone when they fix it after it bricked with their Froyo 2.2 update I did 3 weeks ago...I'm guessing the 2.2.1 version fixes whatever they screwed up in the first place.

This JPY version is great, but I'm facing a problem with Google Market: some apps just are not there! For example, "Pure Calendar Widget" isn't available for download, although I have it purchased since Octobre.

Please, can you people check if "Pure Calendar Widget" appears in your market with JPY 2.2.1 ROM?

You can use the QR Code on this site to check:
