After upgrade did you do a factory reset?
If not, do it now:
1. backup your data.
2. factory reset: menu>settings>privacy>factory data reset.

Ok.
You upgraded from Froyo to Gingerbread.
Did you download a Gingerbread ROM of bootloader version at that time?
Which ROM are you on?
Which ROM have you downloaded?
You may have a Gingerbread ROM with Froyo bootloader.

Have you downloaded GT_I9000_XXJVO_XXJVO_OXAJVO_Sbl.exe, or
GT_I9000_XXJVO_XXJVO_OXAJVO.exe?
If I were you, I would reflash the GT_I9000_XXJVO_XXJVO_OXAJVO_Sbl. This has the bootloader.

ROM for Philippines is ZSJV6 which you can get via Kies. But if there's a JV6 rom available, its ok with Odin.
