Is there a specific reason you don't wanna use Kies?

Well actually there is. When i connect my SGS to comp via USB, Kies recognizes it and syncs with phone, but when i go to Firmware update button it says i already have the latest Firmware (i typed *#1234# and i saw its 2.1upgrade1 > PDA I9000BGJM1, PHONE I9000BGJM1, CSC I9000XECJM1) and there is no way i can't upgrade to Froyo Crying

Kies version is 1.5.3.10103_102

What should i do ? I desperately want Froyo.

that just means it's not out for your phone.

If you want it that bad you will have to either do the registry hack or use Odin.

if your phone is locked then not really.

It isn't released in my country either but I wasn't gonna wait I did the registry hack. I must say you are not missing much. I mean yeah it's cool but not by that much. the only thing that you are missing is Flash.
