Need advice regarding my Galaxy S: Quite frequently, my phone not ringing when receiving calls even though the sound settings not changed. Have to off n on the phone again to make it ring again.
My phone: Samsung Galaxy S GT-19000,
Firmware version:2.3.3 Gingerbread,
Baseband Version: I9000XXJVK
Year:2011

thanks. for this thread.
upgraded from 2.1 to 2.2 and was laggy.
today just a soft rest and wohhaaaaaaa.

Phone is more responsive.
It boots faster....

reset is quick. let;s say less than five minutes is needed.

just to confirm with you after rest:
~the reset did not delete photos\music\videos saved on the phone & external sd card.
~ all configuration are set to default
~ all sms are erased.
~ all saved wifi network are erased.
~ all stock apps are still here (all user downloaded apps are gone)

but by precaution do a full backup before you reset

So i upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3 today with kies, and supposedly it worked, then it restarted my phone, now it stops at the black samsung galaxy s screen and does nothing. I have tried taking the batter out and leaving it for awhile, and pressing the 3 buttons to hard reset it but had no luck getting that to work either.
Any ideas what ive done and if it can be fixed?
i was having problems before starting it up but at least i could get it to work eventually.
