Dear Forum Members, I am replaying to this post to emphasize the importance of Factory Restore, I also have made the update to 2.2 but the phone was extremely slow after, not so many errors or force closes, but very slow. After one week I was running out of patience.  Between lag fix and Factory Restore, I choose the second option. Now the phone is great, it is faster than in former android 2.1. I have no benchmark results, it is just the feeling I have. The backup of applications, contacts, messages, and to write down some customized settings you might have (like the APN definition), is very important. Because you might lose everything, in my case the phone was like out-of-the box after restore, except the files from external SD card. After restoring my backup, again, the phone works great. I have no feeling about battery usage so far. The phone was not rooted and no lag fix ever installed.

Best regards,

Gabriel

I hope by reset you mean turn off and start again (restart). and Not a Hard/Soft reset, in which case that would be obvious.

I tried to change my Font then Switched off the phone and start it again.

Seems to hold the Font change with no problems.

Did you do a soft Reset after the update?

Hi Im new here. Hopefully someone can help me. I successfully updated my device to froyo 2.2. Everything went well except for the contact list. I noticed that scroll on the right side some letters were missing even though there is an entry for that letter. example: Bart is entered in my contact list but the letter B does not appear in the scroll bar.
