I have no idea where it got downloaded or how to install it. Please HELP!! You should see some difference in the settings bar you drag down from the top, with wifi, sound, vibrations, gps and bluetooth. If you want to make sure also, you could check on your cellphone-settings. Settings > About phone > programversion. If it says 2.3 or 2.3.2, then you have it! Is the link u gave safe to use? i am a novice at this tech stuff so am kinda scared to do it by myself  Also my contacts are not getting backed up. I am using the latest version of kies that i downloaded from the samsung website. Let me know if its safe to use the method mentioned in the link. Thnx! So was I, and I did face some problems when I tried to install Gingerbread. The link however is relatively safe. I say relatively because it is not official, but it sure does work. Just follow EXACTLY the instructions and it should go fine.
