Just upgrade my Galaxy S to GINGERBREAD.XWJVB. Version 2.3.3,
Build 2.6.3.5.7-I9000XWJVB-CL118186root@DELL102#2
On wake-up after update, several FCs for system applications. Did full re-set and formating to be able to start without problems. NOt very reassuring. You cannot expect to save anything from your old set up or existing data if you want a stable phone.
Seems the WiFi is back to the old 2.1 version, which is not good. E-mail applications are also "back" from what we had last on 2.1-2.2. Really not good.
Will start to rebuild and see how goes.
Based in Oslo.

i did full factory reset on my phone before and after upgrade... figured it probably is the best when upgrading thinking of compability with gingerbread and apps used on froyo.

This worked great for me! sure, it tok some time to download all the apps and fix all settings and so on, but as far as i can see, there is no speakable lagg and little power usage!

talking as an avarage user of android phone i am very pleased so far with gingerbread! great with a new look on my phone!
