From all of the foder that has been on the Internet, including T-Mobile and Google, it would appear that the Samsung Galaxy S phones will most likely skip Froyo and go right to Gingerbread. Gee, I think I posted that last week.

Don't celebrate yet, this is only speculation.

People has gotten 2.2, and the same people will probably get 2.3 first.

Since the Galaxy S is released on the 16th, I doubt they will release Gingerbread anytime near that release date, as it will hurt it's sales.

Why will you upgrade to a Nexus S when you have everything on your galaxy S, except the camera Flash, and 2.3.

I see a realistic March-June release.

Peace.

I would be happy with either Froyo or Gingerbread as I need it for Skype. I bought my daughter a My Touch 4G. T Mobile is supporting it better than the Galaxy S.

I download froyo on the 17thNov so I don't no were you've got your info from.
As for Gingerbread I've just downloaded the gingerbread launcher and like it,
you can toggle between Gingerbread and TWlauncher by pressing the middle button, you only have to set-up your apps on gingerbread   Smile

I can see you are using MSN Live, are you facing issue on MSN auto log-out after a few hours like others?

I have no issues at all. Just the usual, some apps running very slow but I put this down to the app rather than froyo. Firefox which I use on laptop and decktop was running slow on SGS but Dolphin HD and Infinity are good browsers with infinity running the fastest.
Gmail is very fast loading.
MSN Live loads fast as well.

The MSN auto-logout may have to do with your password being saved somewhere else.

And you get logged out because you get logged in on the other machine.

Just a thought.

On the MSN Live it gives you the choice to save auto-logon so if you tick this box you can be kept logged-on if you don't close the app correctly.

Actually i was looking for MSN Messenger but stumbled into the auto log-off issue faced by others and since Taysider points out he has no issue at all so i think it might as isolated one.  Eyes Rolling

I sure hope Samsung doesn't make 2.3 into touchwiz >.>
Else I'll have to root my phone but I'm scared it'll brick.
