Flashed JVB from JVK and I could not see the 2 applications before:
1. Daily Briefing
2. Youtube
Has anyone got the same programs missing?

im fine thank you. and you?

so are you back on official firmware - ie gingerbread? If so... why did you come away from darky's?

I only ask as im almost tempted to go for it myself and flash my phone again:) but if u have come away from it then maybe i should just leave it a while.

Sorry - misunderstood. So u r still on Darky's JVB verion - is that the 10 version?

JVK,JVB are not stable, therefore the custom ROMs based on JVK,JVB hase been not stable yet. RC means Release Candidate (between beta and stable).
I haven't had any problems using unstable ROMs.
I recommend you to try one out.
Darky's_v9.5 based on Froyo_v2.2.1. I think the future is Gingerbread. It doesn't mean that Froyo is bad. No.
(On my notebook there are 3 OS: Windows xp,Win7,Ubuntu. Win XP is cca. 20 years old. I prefer xp to 7.)

cool. One last thing - how do you find battery life? mine is phenomenal at the moment. I don't really want to loose that. But I like the idea of being able to apply themes afterwards.

Also, I like the touchwiz interface.... 4 icons on the bottom row. Will I loose this?

thanks for your advice my friend. I have never played with Darky's.

Battery life doesn't depend on a ROM.
It depends on settings and usage.
Using "Home Switcher" you can set "Launcher","Twlauncher", etc.
