I tried to load the gingerbread update yesterday.  It never finished but it did get stuck in a reboot loop.  I took it to the sprint store and they were able to stop the reboot lopp but not get it out of safe mode.  Pulling the battery and restarting does not get rid of safe mode.  Any ideas?????

I have the transparent Safe Mode rectangle in the lower left of my screen.  I am told in this state I am unable to download.  My phone works to make calls, text, surf and update calendar but it has lost its smarts in this mode.

Pray to the cell gods you don't get this situation because the answer from Samsung is to send the phone back to them to get wiped and firmware reloaded.  I will be without my phone for 2 weeks.  It was my only access to the internet from home and for work.  Neither Spring nor Samsung offers loaners.  Not a good situation!!!!
