hi,

I was able to have my phone in CWM (Recovery mode) but unable to install ZIP files. I copied them on my sdcard but it says 'no files found'.

Baseband version: i9000XXJPY
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 hardcore@speedmod-k13c-500hz#24
Build number: FROYO.XWJS5

**the zip files that i want to install is the customized battery percentage on the notification bar instead of the normal batter icon. Is there rom that you can recommend that will word on my phone.

Thanks in advance.

You put this file into the internal SD card (/mnt/sdcard), didn't you?
If yes and this is a zip file it has to be appeared in the menu: select "install zip from sd card>choose zip from sdcard".

hi saszseb,

Yes, that's where I saved the file. But it doesn't show on the list when I'm at recovery mode.

I was able to installed the Darky ROM by renaming the file as "update.zip".

My problem is if I want to install another game or program, do I always need to rename it as "update.zip"

Please help. Thank you.

You are on Speedmod kernel. See the attached file.
This menu has "install zip from sd card".
When you flash something via CWM you need this sub-menu.

This is good.
you can go to "install zip from sdcard" using volume down button then pushing power button "Ok". You'll go in a submenu.>"choose zip from sdcard">It will appear the sdcard with the saved files. Select it using Vol. down/up and push the power button to select it.

Did you transfer the zip file from PC to SGS via USB cable or did you download it directly from phone's browser? When you download something directly, it's saved /mnt/sdcard/download. I think your zip file is in one of the subfolders.
