Can anyone explain why in Superuser under 'Logs' I get HUNDREDS of Titanium Backup entries ?

Also will it cause any problems if I delete these log entries ?. I did once before & it didn't seem to do any harm.

Thanx in advance.

Ben.

And 2, Can/should I  delete these multiple Titanium logs ?

Again thanx in advance (hopefully)  Big Grin

You can delete a log file safely as all it does is let you see the history for you to check.

As for Why?

I would say you use it alot, Everytime SuperUser give permission it makes log.

Actually I very rarely use it !

Maybe it has something to do with A Task Killer ?

I only have Titanium set to backup once a week.

Ps I hardly use ATK on froyo it's just installed from 2.1
I will add Titanium to the 'ignore list' & see if there is any change

Thanx for reply tho.

Samsung has an in-built Task manager.

There is no need for ATK in Samsung devices and as of 2.3 The device Manager in Gingerbread kicks ATK's ʌnl.

Why you are wasting your precious rescources is beyond me.

Peace.

I'm not sure you fully read/understood my post.

1) I know there is a built-in Task Killer.

2) ATK is only on my phone as it was left over from when I updated from 2.1, I left it on for just the odd app. As I said I don't use it because there is no need for it. I have mostly put all my apps on the 'ignore' list.

I dont consider this to be a waste of my resources.

peace & respect.

I beg to differ, on a "smart" device every kb counts. ATK still runs in the background even if you put everything on ignore it still has a small footprint in the background.

Uninstalling it will free up RAM and Storage.

Peace.

Ok then I shall take your advice & Uninstall it - My question now is I often see that apps such as Maps are running (via ATK) when I've no need for it to be.

What is the reason for this ?

Also I had used ATK for this app as I imagined it was a real Battery killer having Maps running in the background for no reason.

Thanx for your time & advice.

Maps is a core process, google like to know where you are all the time, just like Apple does.

Maps tries to keep the GPS Satelite location updated every so often so that when a GPS lock is required it is availble fast.

Turn off your device and turn it back on Maps will be running in the background.

Peace.
