Ok lets back up. See what has been done so far.
lol.... it unlocked...but when the phone rebooted...i had no signal.
it all went well using 2.2 then i had to reboot & i launched the unlock app and clicked to enter code 12345678 that it does auto....that worked but as i said on next reboot=no signal. so i had to restore the backup folder which left me with an locked sim. which means i cant flash:( or debrand.
any ideas?
OK.
So now you have a locked sim.
ok... tried to unlock sim and ckecked to see if it was unlocked. instead of adding code i went straight for step 3.
Then try to flash using odin.
this was the result
<ID:0/007> Added!!
<ID:0/007> Odin v.3 engine (ID:7)..
<ID:0/007> File analysis..
<ID:0/007> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/007> Can't open the serial(COM) port.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
Now I had the phone connect normal udb and not debugging is this correct nor was it in flight mode? Am I missing something? or should i add the csc (is that right?...lol...maybe it scs).
persnonally, i feel that the unlock of the sim has not gone to plan. Thsat if I reboot it will have no signal. Any thoughts?
OK this is not good, it needed to be in Download Mode.
Ok 1 problem was that the phone was not in download mode.
So I flashed the phone. But now it appears to get stuff on the 's' for samsung screen. Followed by 3 buzzez and then the screen goes blank and the 'menu key' and the 'return' key stay lit. followed by other buzzez.
not sure if I have bricked my phone:(
Ill try a hard reset and see what happens.
Ok So you flashed it again. this is all done and the phone is still locked right?
You need to check with
- Check Simlock and Network lock is OFF *#7465625#
hardc reset produced 0 result.
tried to flash again...and flashing appeared to get stuck.... I fear the worst now.
please help.
OK can you get into the phone at all now?
If you can't then Please goto Samsung they will flash the default Firmware back under warranty just don't tell them you were doing all this. They won't bother checking what you did.
Because phone needs to be unlocked, to proceed.
Peace.
