Hi Hi,

I've been looking at rooting for a while now. z4root doesn't work (surprisingly), nor does one click root (sticks on 'running psneuter') so i thought i'd have a look at Odin.

My build is Gingerbread 2.3.3 GINGERBREAD.BVJV7. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S from Orange. Wasn't sure which CF to use... Coudl you help? Unless anyone knows an easier way to root the damn thing?

Flake x

KE1? You need to update your device. I think you have KF1

Try Darky's ROM.

It can be flashed with Odin

Hi IronSingh,

My build number is DXJV9, appreciate your advise which CF root to use.

Thanks.

Rdgs,
GalaxySUser

Extract the attached file, you'll get a tar file.
Flash this tar file as PDA using Odin. No pit and No repartition.
It installs busybox and superuser.

I have JV9 too. I cannot dl the file posted here. I tried 10 times always fails 30-40% with no resume. Try uploading to a better server.

Hi Sas and IronSingh

Ive rooted with CF-Root-XX_UNK_JVQ-v3.7-CWM3RFS.zip is there an auto lagfix in this root when you flash it.
What tweaks can i do to optimise my GT I9000 to its full capability but still be safe.?

Is there an absolute total noob version to flash darkys rom without my stupid ʌnl bicking my phone.?

Thanx

Sorry about that, I didn't realize it was the Same User.

In the first Post you mentioned KE5 as such I pointed to KE5, in the Second Post you mentioned KE1.

Your Build is Build number: GINGERBREAD.BUKE5 in Effect KE5 so you will go for
CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KE2-v4.0-CWM4.zip

Peace.
